The ridge mountain hut in Oybin / Hain is the best starting point for an easy skiing tour around the view hill High Forest („Hochwald“)

The skiing hiking trail leads on the German as well as on the Czech side of the hill without exception through old woods.

Via the snow-covered Weaver´s Way („Weberweg“), through clear air, far away from any frenzy of activity, at the ridge leak the border is crossed.

Downhill in the direction of Oybin the hills „Kelchstein“ and „Kelchsteinwächter“ with their rich red colour are very attractive. The skiing way wends on the same hight on the southern flank of the High Forest through old beech forests. On frory days it´s a pleasant experience to look while the noon sun is shining at the last brown beech leaves under frosty rime.

At the bottom of the hill „Witches Stairs“ („Hexentreppen“) above the hill „Schafsberg“ / Ovci vrch, the border to Saxony is reached again. The last stage of the skiing trail leads easygoing among the edge of the wood to the hill „Lausche“ with a wide view to the Ridge Hill back.
